Chris & Becki | Norland Historic Estate Wedding

One of the most amazing wedding venues in Southern Alberta is The Norland Historic Estate. The mansion and the grounds are incredible and make planning your wedding day and your timeline so easy!

Chris and Becki had to postpone their wedding to 2021 because of the pandemic, but their wedding turned out so beautifully.

Becki and her girls got ready at the estate while Chris and his boys got ready (aka played video games and filled flasks) at their home.

I was able to talk them into a first touch before their first look, so they could hold hands around the corner from each other and share a few minutes together before the busyness of the wedding day. Becki also planned something special for the first look, it involved a second wedding dress and a friend, you’ll want to scroll to see those photos. TRUST ME!

The couple also chose to read their personal vows to each other with only their wedding party (and photographers) present on the balcony of the mansion, and it was so beautiful. It was a really special way to have more time together in an intimate setting before having their big wedding day. They didn’t have to worry about crying in front of their 100 guests and kept their ceremony a little bit shorter.

After an incredible dinner in the ballroom, I snuck the couple away to the sunset so they could have a few more minutes just to themselves to hug, kiss and dance just the two of them. I love incorporating a sunset sneak away time into timelines so that couples get time together.

I absolutely fell in love with the Norland at this wedding, and look forward to more couples’ wedding days here.
